In the past several years, the ACPEF has given more than one million dollars in grants to advance the prosthodontic specialty.
2014 GSK Prosthodontist Innovator Award
The ACP Education Foundation is proud to announce the 2014 Prosthodontist Innovator Award. The goals of this sponsored research are to advance the understanding of prosthodontics-related biological and/or materials systems, human behavior, cost and care delivery, as well as economic modeling and quality of life investigations.
Sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare through an unrestricted educational grant, single-year funding in the amount up to $25,000 to initiate or foster research in these areas will be awarded to an ACP member prosthodontist and to his/her institution. This educational grant is open to prosthodontists who are within 5 years of their initial appointment at a US or Canadian dental school or related academic institutions.
Completed applications must be received by the ACP Education Foundation by Dec. 10. The ACP Research Committee will select the award winner by Dec. 31. For more information, please see the Application Guidelines or email email@example.com.
ACPEF Founders Society Award
The ACPEF Founders Society Award honors individuals who have made a significant impact on the growth and development of the Foundation, and have demonstrated an extraordinary level of commitment to the advancement of the specialty. Nominees must be a member of the ACP, or have demonstrated outstanding service to the specialty through the ACP and ACPEF; must have demonstrated exceptional leadership and outstanding volunteer service to the mission of the ACPEF; must be an active donor to the ACPEF with a substantive, cumulative level of giving; and must have contributed to building and growing the ACPEF.
John J. Sharry Prosthodontic Research Competition
The John J. Sharry Prosthodontic Research Competition is held during the Annual Session of the American College of Prosthodontists.
Sponsored by the ACP Education Foundation, the Prosthodontic Research Competition is held to stimulate and acknowledge original research in prosthodontics by students. The ACP Research Committee strongly encourages all programs to participate in this competition.
